U-14 Football Our lads went ahead in the first half and had a four points lead at half time. Roanmore came back in the second half with a point and with only a goal between the sides, put severe pressure on our backs for a long period of time. However our backs held firm and with great saving from our goalie, Aidan Keating, who had a brilliant game and saved time after time, the tide turned and we finished on a score of 2- 04 to 3 points. Well done to all the players and to the subs for their work during the year. Every match counts and that’s what makes great teams. Captain, Danny O’Neill accepted the cup on behalf of the team and thanked the Trainers, Aidan O’Rourke, Roger Ryan and Pat O’Sullivan for all their hard work. He also thanked all the parents for the lifts to matches and the many supporters who attended the games. The team and supporters were treated to refreshments at the Deise Bar and we would like to thank Aine very much for her generosity. Also thanks to John Stapleton, shopkeeper in Clashmore, for his donation of minerals for the team. Many thanks to our water boys on the day, Paudie Connery, Declan Hickey, Philip Dee and Barry Dunne. Finally thanks to Kieran Connery for his words of wisdom and encouragement to the lads before the match. It was great to see the large number of supporters on the day. This is a great and historic win for our Club on this our 125 years anniversary so again congratulations to all involved. U-16 Hurling U-12 Football Trip to Student of the Year
